My lab focuses on developing a data-driven synthetic biology design platform using big data, chemoinformatics, bioinformatics, systems biology and various IT tools. A proliferation of chemical, reaction and enzyme databases, new computational methods and software tools for data-driven rational synthetic biology design have emerged in recent years. I would like to report some of our latest researches on synthetic biology: (1) Biosynthesis databases (ChemHub, Cell2Chem, EnzyMine); (2) Biosynthesis pathway design servers (novoPathFinder, CF-Targeter, EcoSynther); (3) Biosynthesis-related chemo-/bio-informatics tools (BCSExplorer, Bio2Rxn, RxnBLAST, PrecursorFinder) and (4) A novel data-driven ‘dry’ and ‘wet’ integrative R&D research model with various applications.
